Laboratory of Ventillation

Laboratory Supervisor: Dr. Imre Csáky - Deputy Head of Department, Associate Professor

Location: UDFaculty of Technology (U.2.07)

Description of the laboratory:

Nowadays, enclosed spaces are artificially supplied with fresh air and therefore, at the Faculty of Engineering, we have put a strong emphasis on the transfer of knowledge on how to improve the comfort of the occupants with well-regulated ventilation systems.

Laboratory equipment:

  • Portable multifunctional measuring instrument,
  • Air volume meter,
  • Data loggers: with temperature sensor, with humidity sensor,
  • CO2 measuring instrument,
  • Portable tachometer with optical and contact sensor adapter,
  • Infrared thermometer with measuring field marking
  • Pressure gauges with internal sensor.

Research and development areas:

  • Energy efficiency improvement of air-conditioning and climate control components
  • Development of new air-conditioning and climate control units
  • Research into air handling technology for industrial workstations
  • Complete analysis of air-conditioning systems

Target audience:

The laboratory is designed with education and research in mind, but is also open to collaboration with industrial partners. The aim is to create a research space that promotes innovation, scientific publications and the development of practical and industrial applications.

The aim of the Laboratory of Aeronautical Engineering is to contribute to the scientific excellence of the Department of Civil and Plant Engineering, to support researchers and to promote the professional development of doctoral students.
