His main researches are the measurements of the sorption isotherms and thermal conductivities of different building and insulating materials and investigating the heat transfer in building structures. He is leader of the Building Physics Laboratory in University of Debrecen Faculty of Engineering. He is also specialized in Super Insulation Materials (aerogel, Vacuum Insulation Panels etc.), thermodynamics, heat transfer, materials engineering, energy efficient buildings and energy engineering.

Gábor L. Szabó PhD - Associate Professor
Research field
Dr. Gábor L. Szabó is a Associate professor at the Department of Building Services and Building Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Debrecen. He was born and completed his studies in Debrecen. He obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Debrecen, with his dissertation titled "Energy and exergy analysis of radiant cooling systems in buildings."For over a decade, he has been teaching Refrigeration and related subjects at the University of Debrecen.
His research interests are focused on several areas, including (1) energy and exergy analysis of absorption chillers, (2) integration of renewable energy sources in building cooling systems, (3) radiant cooling systems, and (4) fan-coil systems.
Dr. L. Szabó has authored seven scientific journal articles in English, including six Q1-rated and four single-authored journal articles. He has also written two books, 21 journal articles, and 17 conference papers in Hungarian.
