Building physics laboratory

Laboratory supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ákos Lakatos - Head of Department, Full Professor

Location: UD Faculty of Engineering inner courtyard

Description of the laboratory:

The laboratory is used to investigate different thermal properties of materials. These properties include thermal conductivity, specific heat, heat of combustion, calorimetric properties and moisture absorption.

Laboratóriumi felszereltség:

  • Netzsch HFM 446
  • NETZSCH DSC 3500 Sirius
  • Venticell 111 tumble dryer
  • Climacel 111 climate chamber
  • Cal2 ECO calorimeter
  • Hukseflux heat flow meter
  • Measurement chamber according to ISO 8990

Research and development areas:

  • Materials science
  • Thermal Engineering
  • Investigation of changes due to heat treatment
  • Nanotechnology
  • Development of thermal insulation materials
  • Research and development
  • Verification measurements for manufacturers

Target audience:

The laboratory is primarily a research laboratory where we carry out laboratory experiments. The results measured in the laboratory have been the basis for theses, TDK theses, diploma theses, PhD dissertations and habilitations. The Laboratory also offers the possibility to perform control measurements for manufacturers.
